The Hillary FC Pre-season 5 - a - side Tournament kicks off next Wednesday 19th January 2011, with a full compliment of 14 teams (7 per league). The first game starts at 18h30 sharp. The tournament will be on every Wednesday evening for the next 13 weeks at Fairfield Park.

Last night saw the Under 6s & 8s take on our neighbours Brettenwood Old Boys (BOB) at their Radford Gardens grounds in Hillary (a game which was postponed from the previous week due to bad weather);

    Under 6 - Hillary 1 (W Joubert) BOB 3
    
    Under 8 - Hillary 0 BOB 1

Both teams played well and just need to learn to take their chances.

This coming Thursday, 29th July, sees our return fixture with Brettonwood Old Boys at their Radford Garden grounds in Hillary.

Our under 6's kick off at 17h50, and will be followed by the under 8s who kick off at 18h15.

On Sunday the 4th July - we held our very own mini World Cup, and welcomed 22 teams from various top clubs around Durban.

Under 6 World Champions were Portugal (Stella) beating Spain (Westville OBs) 1-0 in a thrilling final played on our very own Nelson Mandela Bay pitch, with "spaza" goals and all.

Under 8 World Champions were Paraguay (Virginia United) beating a talented Ghana (Rumpshakers FC) outfit by 2-0 on the Soccer City pitch.

Last was our first Under 6 match against BOB at Hillary - the team went down 1-0, but all had fun and learned a great deal from this.

Tonight marks the beginning of the league fixtures at Fairfield Park - the Ladies are playing Athlone Ladies from Athlone Park, Twini.

On Wednesday night, Dumpy Bend take on Highway at 19h00 in the Over 35 league, whilst FC Burrough entertain Volt Energy Twini in the Consurve Corporate league at 20h00.

Finally, Friday sees BOB come to Hillary to take on the Premier & Reserve teams. We are also hoping to host BOB's under 6s & 8s in a friendly prior to the main games, commencing 18h00, but will ...

This Tuesday 30 March 2010 is the Pinetown Football Association AGM for 2010.
